I'm not that dangerous! I promise!
Top view
I began by creating these basic stud shapes and decided to exaggerate the length of these.
It is pretty interesting to see the variation of these studs from a top view and then again from the side.
The second thing that I thought was worth noting was how it looked when it was all stacked together in contrast to it's latter 3D form
I was actually skyping with my friend when I was placing all these studs on the back of my mannequin and I thought it was funny that she screamed, that must really hurt!
but in reality,
they are just stuffed with cotton fill!
not so intimidating anymore huh?

Beastly haircut
Hello hello
While searching up pictures of haircuts, I actually came across this interesting hairstyle collection
The series of haircuts features different types of animals such as a giraffe, a dog, a rhino, an elephant, a seal, etc.
I found it pretty interesting that even though it makes such a powerful impact, it is balanced with its subtle side. It almost just morphs into the actual hair.
I reckon it is a pretty interesting concept that the soft, flexible hair is manipulated with gel, and perhaps other types of chemical to stiffen the hair to create these defined shapes for the animal features.

This semester, I really want to experiment with the subtle but powerful effect through design.
There is a beast up in my hair

Hello hello
Since we're on the topic of beast, that includes dinosaurs right?
well.. really, how would you describe the word [beast]?
mm.... scary, beauty and the beast, weird, big creatures, dark, night, wolf, animals, furry creatures,
a dinosaur maybe? or even a gremlim?
I reckon they can be pretty darn cute!
if we tame them
Check these little "beastly" bags from Giles
who ever said gremlims can't be cute!!

How about a Triceratops! >.< Such a cute and fun interpretation of a perhaps "beastly" creature

The different weights of heavy.
Hello hello
This is the video I filmed for studio, titled [The different weights of heavy]
I wanted to explore different ways to define heavy.
The video documents various interpretations of the word "Heavy," beginning from a more literal definition to a symbolic representation.
The video consist of 5 short clips of different "weights" of heavy
1. The video begins with falling paper which is an interpretation of layering to create physical weight.
2. The traffic is a idea of heavy, for example, "heavy rain," "heavy traffic"
3. The folding paper and 4. the half frozen ice, are representation of the illusion of heavy. The paper transforms from a 2D flat surface to a 3D shape hence giving off the false illusion of increasing weight. The half-frozen ice, goes through a similar process, where a liquid goes through the process of becoming a solid but still basically having the same weight.
5. The final clip is of a piano piece titled [Flood Time], consisting of broken chord, this is a representation of the feeling of heavy. Not literally banging on the piano to create perhaps a physical feeling of heavy rather with broken chords to create a state of mind of heavy.
toodles till later
